Gents, may I get a pass to the playtest rules?
There's recently been a distinct re-interest in WW2 gaming at the Rotherham club and I'd like to show what you have at this point if I may?

Modelling / 10mm wargaming terrain
« Last post by sultanbev on October 07, 2018, 12:46:54 PM »
Having just swapped all my 15mm WW2 for 10mm, am now hunting down buildings suitable for the Mediterranean theatre, eastern Europe, NW Europe and the Middle East.

I've decided resin is too heavy, so am going with card buildings. Although they take time to build, they are "ready painted" and assembly time is much quicker than painting them.
Over on the Wargames Vault there are some sellers of 28mm buildings for medieval/fantasy type settings, but many of these are suitable for us. Scaling from 28mm to 10mm is 34% of the print size.
Dave Graffam models have a free sample coach-house which has mutliple layers in the Abode pdf file, which I had to learn about, from which I've made 4 buildings so far.
The biggest cost is probably your ink and 200gms card, which is about 10p an A4 sheet round here.
I base mine on mounting board for extra stability.
Mark’s History Zone / Polish uhlans versus Panzers - mythbusters
« Last post by sultanbev on October 07, 2018, 12:41:14 PM »
This was another made up tale, of lancers charging panzers.
In fact a Polish uhlan regiment caught a German infantry battalion in a wood by surprise, and charged them, routing two companies. As the routing infantry broke out of the back of the wood, the uhlans pursued, as you would, and by chance an armoured car platoon and reporter team were approaching the wood, thinking it was safely held. Consequently the Sdkfz 231s were able to give the uhlans a good butchering as they charged past pursuing routing infantry. And the reporter team (mis)identified it as lancers charging armoured cars. Hence the story got exaggerated into armour into panzers.
